Empweb is a library circulation system with the following outstanding features:

  • Reads Isis data bases (DOS/Windows and Linux 32 bits versions)
  • Handles multiple user and object databases at the same time

  • Runs in any web browser (including console browsers)
  • Localizable, allowing easy translations to any language.
  • Customizable presentation
  • Fine granularity for operator restrictions

• Empweb Engine
  • Configurable policies, profiles, calendars, limits.
  • Based on parametrized rules (transaction pipelines).
  • New rules can be added, and existing ones can be extended for customized tests and restrictions.
  • Rules can be programmed in scripting languages (like Groovy) directly from the administration user interface, allowing for even greater flexibility.
  • New pipelines can be created to:
    • Create new transaction types.
    • Create new statistics.
    • Provide services to external systems (web services).
